Congratulations to Rabbi Joshi. I was fortunate enough to attend one of his adult education classes. I found him to be the most talented and inspiring teacher I've ever had.

Thank you for providing us such a wide range of voices on the current conflict in the Middle East; as Reform Jews we have an obligation to educate ourselves and to reject simplistic viewpoints of this ever complex issue. Its wonderful to have this resource!

Hello, Jonathan! We are praying here for you and all of you there; it may sound funny, but I take my Siddur to college where I work and pray there... Please be safe and know that we are all thinking of you and constantly update ourselves with information and news. I don't say good bye but Lehitraot (Till we meet again.)!

Dear Jordana, being a formermilitary in Israel, I know exactly how this feels and what your cousin is going through! My parents and all my relatives live in Israel; some in Tel Aviv area but most of them in the North and South. I have my cousins' kids in the military fighting as I write... Needless to say, I call everyone on almost daily basis, and if I can't get through, naturally imagination gets the better of me. I've send your letter to at least 15 people and about 5 U.S. government officials... I wish I could say more. Just be strong and let your cousin know that our prayers and thoughts are with them and Eretz Israel.

Uri, it didn't take the Gaza war for your name to come on Omaha's radar. You are a household name here! Do you know Gili Zimran? He is the son of my friend Avia, of Kibbutz Matzuva. He was also deployed to Gaza. Avia works as a volunteer with the Partnership and is a Bible teacher at Sulam Tsor High School.
We will take any information. I have a terrible feeling that our information will be limited as we are going into the inauguration her and our news seems to be terribly unable to multi-task. Initially we were getting a lot of news but it is now only about 5 minutes every hour on CNN (not that CNN is the only source), so insight you can provide would be helpful. Thanks. Be safe.

Thanks so much for your post. As we are all listening today of the 4 katyushas hitting near Nahariya, we are all so concerned for your safety and for the young soldiers who have been sent into Gaza. My friend Avia was in the safe shelters with her Bible class waiting for the buses to take her students home when it was safe. The news isn't saying much because Obama is just coming on with a big economic statement. Hopefully more news about Hezbollah's actions will come this afternoon. Funny how news doesn't multi task. Avia's son is in Gaza so I am saying extra prayers for his safe return. Take care of yourself.
